GenOne Architectural Group Geneva Shores Play Structure
Geneva Shores Play Structure: This large play structure was designed to provide guests at the camp and retreat center with hours of outdoor fun on a safe, secure structure.
This unique structure stands on the edge of the woods, overlooking the entire camp to the West and wooded areas to the East. It consists of three separate platform structures; the two large platforms are connected by a "wave" bridge that mirrors the gentle waves rolling in on nearby Lake Michigan. The third smaller structure is a bouldering wall for climbing.
The Geneva Shores play structure was designed to be sturdy and tough enough to withstand the daily abuse of children running, climbing, and jumping on it. It was also important that the design of the play structure be easily built by volunteers.
The Geneva Shores play structure was designed and built to be played on, but it was also designed to provide an outdoor space for small group meetings and breakout sessions. It has quickly become the "place to be" for campers at Geneva Shores.
